South Dakota State heads to Mesa, Arizona for the Summit League Championships Sunday through Tuesday. Competitors will play three rounds over three days at Longbow Golf Club, the tournament host for the second straight season. Â

COURSE INFORMATION
Longbow Golf Club first opened in 1997 and the complete redesign was unveiled in the fall of 2003. The redesign included a striking new clubhouse, expanded acreage and totally revamped practice facility, Longbow Golf Club, more than ever is a "must-play."
The redesign improves upon perfection by lengthening the total yardage to 7,050 from the back tees and expanding the fairways to be enjoyable by players of all skill levels. The distinctive new Arizona contemporary clubhouse is a one-of-a-kind structure that offers a spacious outdoor event patio with fans, heaters, misters, outdoor kitchen and bar, enormous patio fireplace, cozy restaurant, and well-appointed golf shop.Â

- Tyler Seeling was named to the Summit League Second Team and Jacob Wilson landed on the All-Freshman Team.
- Senior Tyler Seeling leads the Jackrabbits with a 72.48 scoring average this year.Â
- The Jackrabbits are going for their third Summit League title in program history and first since going back-to-back in 2016 and 2017
- Tyler Seeling shot a 60 single round in the Jackrabbits' season opener. That matches the NCAA record for a single round.Â
- As it stands, SDSU's 289.61 team average for the year is the second-best season average in program history. 289.17 is the best single-season mark, which was set last season.
- Seniors Bryson Mercier and Tyler Seeling have been consistent varsity contributors through their careers. Both are on pace to finish top-five in career scoring average at South Dakota State.Â
- Four of the five SDSU players from last season's Summit League Championship lineup are on this season's roster.
LAST TIME OUT
SDSU is coming off a fifth place finish at the Hawkeye Invitational. The Jackrabbits posted a +14 overall team score, tied with Drake. Host Iowa went 13-under to win the team title.Â
Tyler Seeling was the Jacks top finisher with an even-par final scorecard to place in a tie for eighth.Â

SUMMIT LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP NOTES
- The 2026 Men's Golf Championship will be played in the Grand Canyon State with the 54-hole championship set for a par-71, 7,050-yard layout at the Longbow Golf Club.
- Oral Roberts enters the championship looking for back-to-back titles, sitting fifth in stroke average at 290.8.
- Leading the Golden Eagles is freshman Jorge Sanchez Gutierrez, who owns a team-best 72.87 stroke average to go along with a top-five and two top-10 finishes.
- ORU earned the top seed in this year's championship after owning the top Clippd team ranking among the nine participants in this year's event.
- The four-time champion Denver Pioneers enter as the No. 2 seed, boasting a conference-leading 288.4 stroke average.
- Denver brings back Jet Hernandez and Jack Dozer from last year's squad, both of whom rank among the top nine in stroke average.
- Fellow Pioneer Zander Grant has been in strong form, earning Peak Golfer of the Week honors twice in the last five weeks, including a win at the UCSB Gaucho Invite.
- St. Thomas and South Dakota State matched with 289.6 scoring averages, with the Tommies claiming the No. 3 seed based on the Clippd rankings.
- UST's Owen Rexing and Tyler McNieve both posted 72.6 stroke averages to provide consistency for the Tommies, each sitting inside the league's top 10 in scoring.
- The Jackrabbits checked in at the No. 4 seed and are the owners of the league's second-best team round this season, firing a 272 (-16) in the second round of the Island Resort Intercollegiate.
- In the second round of the Island Resort Intercollegiate, SDSU senior Tyler Seeling fired a 60 (-12) to match the NCAA single-round record, becoming the 21st player in history to do so.
- Seeling leads the Jacks in scoring average (72.48), ranking sixth in the league.
- North Dakota State has relied on depth across its lineup, posting a 290.8 scoring average with several players capable of going low.
- Seniors Rylin Petry and Jake Skarperud lead the charge, both ranking among the league's top five in scoring average with 72.0 and 72.3, respectively.
- Petry and SDSU's Seeling are the lone returners from last year's All-Tournament team.
- South Dakota owns the lowest single round in the league this season with a 269 (-19) at the LaTour Intercollegiate and carries a 291.3 scoring average into the championship.
- Junior Joe Rohlwing has been the top individual in the league with a 71.6 average through 18 rounds of play, having posted four top-10 finishes and one in the top-5.
- Standouts Mason Haley (72.0) and Harry Bent (72.6) lead the Roos, both ranking inside the top tier of the league in scoring average while KC ranks seventh as a team (291.5).
- North Dakota has shown flashes of low scoring with a 277 (-11) round and enters with a 291.5 team average.
- Omaha has put together a 292.6 scoring average and has remained competitive with consistent middle-of-the-pack finishes, being led by Ethan Smith and Spencer Clatt.
