JACKS HONORED BY AVCA FOR EIGHTH STRAIGHT SEASON

BROOKINGS, S.D. - For the eighth straight season and 15th time overall, the South Dakota State volleyball team has earned the AVCA Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT, as announced by the organization Thursday. The team also earned the additional distinction of being on the AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll, representing the top 20% of GPAs nationally by division.
The award recognizes volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale. The Jackrabbits were among 1,432 teams nationwide recognized. SDSU was honored for the 15th time overall. In addition to a high-achieving academic year, the Jackrabbits also went 23-5 overall in 2025, clinching a Summit League Regular Season Championship and earning an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.

The association's mission is to advance the sport of volleyball with AVCA coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
