Caylee Costello enters her ninth season as an assistant for the South Dakota State soccer program in 2025. She initially joined the staff as a graduate assistant in 2015.

During her time at SDSU, the program has posted a 130-44-29 record with six NCAA Tournament berths. In addition to her on-field coaching efforts, Costello handles program operations which includes recruiting and team travel.Â

Costello was a four-year letterwinner at South Dakota State during her collegiate career. Costello started every game her junior and senior seasons at defensive midfield. During her senior year, she was named First Team All-Summit League and was one of the first two Jackrabbit soccer players to be named to The Summit League All-Academic Team. After exhausting eligibility, Costello served as a volunteer coach for South Dakota State in 2014.

She holds her National Soccer Coaches Association of America National Diploma and obtained her Coerver Youth Diploma in 2013.

A Sioux Falls, South Dakota native, Costello graduated from South Dakota State in 2015 with a bachelor of science degree in physical education and has earned a master’s degree from SDSU as well. Costello currently resides in Brookings.
