LAWRENCE, Kan - The Jackrabbit defense held strong for their second shutout of the year as the South Dakota State women's soccer team tied the Missouri State Bears 0-0, at the Kansas Invitational Friday afternoon in Lawrence, Kan.
Dani Pappas led the Jacks from the back, recording the first shutout of her career and notching five saves. The senior is 1-1-1 on the season.
The SDSU held the shot advantage at the half 7-4 and finished the game leading 17-12, including 8-5 in shots on-goal.
Junior Tory Schiltgen led the way for the Jacks, firing three shots, all on goal.
SDSU moves to 2-3-2 on the season while MSU moves to 4-3-2.
The Jacks continue at the Kansas Invitational on Sunday when they face the host school Kansas at 1 p.m.
