The South Dakota State Men's Swimming and Diving team split a double dual on Saturday at the HPER Center Pool. The Jacks defeated the University of South Dakota 135-100 and lost to St. Louis 103-138.
Brad Schoreit, a freshman from Omaha, Neb., broke the school record in 1-meter diving with his score of 254.63, less than two points behind first place. The old record was set by Darrel Mayer back in 1984. Schoreit smashed the record by 18 points.
The first event of the day saw the Jacks victorious in the 400 medley relay as Jon Wendel, John Bisson, Kyle Ochsner and Mark Sandager swam a season best time of 3 minutes, 37.99 seconds.
Ochsner would go on to win the 500 freestyle for the second time this season clocking in at 4:53.24
Shea Patrick swam a season best time of 2:15.27 on his way to winning the 200 breaststroke.
The Jacks will have their final home dual of the season tomorrow as they take on St. Louis at 10 a.m.
