FARGO, N.D. - South Dakota State tied North Dakota State at 1-1 in the 74th minute of Saturday's soccer match at Ellig Sports Complex in Fargo, but the Bison came back with a goal in the 85th minute to seal a 2-1 win over the Jackrabbits in Summit League action.
The loss drops the Jacks to 9-3-4 overall and 4-2-1 in The Summit League, while the Bison improve to 9-5-4 overall and 4-2-1 in league play.
NDSU opened the scoring, when Candice D'Arcangeli scored unassisted after the Jacks failed to clear a shot.
The team's played scoreless soccer until Cori Bonte netted the equalizer off of a deflection from the top of the box to tie the match at 1-1.
The match stayed square at 1-1 for just 11 minutes, when D'Arcangeli set-up Quin Ryan from the right side for the game-winning tap in goal with just under six minutes to play.
Elisa Stamatakis took the loss for SDSU, but did save seven Bison shots on the day. Kalani Bertsch allowed just the one goal for the Bison and saved five SDSU shots to earn the win.
The Jackrabbits close out the regular season with a pair of matches next weekend, starting with Oral Roberts on Friday at 6 p.m., followed the regular season finale against Centenary on Sunday at 1 p.m.
