VALENTINE, Nebraska—Sophomore
Jaxon Lynn led the South Dakota State men's golf team to fourth-place finish at The Jackrabbit Tuesday afternoon.
The Jackrabbits shot a final round nine-under par 855 (277-286-292) and recorded a school record 563 for 36 holes. Clemson won the 11-team tournament on the par-72, 7,089-yard Dunes course at The Prairie Club, shooting an 847 (283-278-286). The Tigers' Doc Redman won the 64-player event, firing a 13-under par 203 (63-70-70).
Lynn finished third after shooting a six-under par 210 (67-73-70) and collecting 12 birdies and an eagle in the tournament.
Freshman
Alejandro Restrepo shot a career-best 69 in the final round (72-74-69=215) and tied for 10th. Senior
Grant Smith shot a 216 (68-71-77) and tied for 14th.
Senior
Trevor Tobin tied a personal best with a 69 in the second round (74-69-76=219) and tied for 24th while sophomore
Alejandro Perazzo tied for 31st after shooting a 221 (70-73-78).
Junior
Michael Duch shot a career-best 72 in the final round and tied for 49
th (80-75-72=227). Junior
Zach Sackett was 60
th (78-79-77=234), freshman
Jacob Otta 62
nd (77-83-77=237) and junior Naquiddin Fuad tied for 63
rd (82-79-77=238).
