South Dakota State men's golf will play in the Summit League Championship Sunday through Tuesday at the Sand Creek Station Golf Club in Newton, Kansas.
The Jackrabbits have the fourth best scoring average in the conference this season, averaging 293.2 shots per round. SDSU is led by All-Summit Second Team pick Jonah Dohrer, who is averaging 73.6 shots per round in his senior season and ranks 12th in the conference. Ty Kretz was the only Summit League freshman to win an event this season. He earned medalist honors at the Jackrabbit Invitational in March, topping a field that included 25 league golfers.
Matthew Schaefer, Liam Georgiadis and Jack Tanner will join Dohrer and Kretz in representing the Jackrabbits.
SDSU most recently finished +17 and took fifth at the Hawkeye Invitational in Iowa City April 16-17. Dohrer and Boraas tied for 15th place with 218 (+2) final scorecards.
The Jacks tied for fifth place at the 2021 Summit League Championship. Liam Georgiadis and Jack Tanner finished in a tie for seventh to lead the team.
