The South Dakota State men's golf team travels to Iowa City this weekend for the Hawkeye Invitational hosted by Iowa at Finkbine Golf Course.

SDSU is one of 16 teams competing Saturday and Sunday in the 54-hole event. The teams will tee off with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. both days.

Luke Honner will play in the Jacks' No. 1 spot, followed by Ty Kretz, Bryson Mercier, Jonah Dohrer and Blake Schaper. Honner, a sophomore, averages a team-best 72.3 shots per round this season and was SDSU's top finisher at the Tiger Intercollegiate last week. Kretz and Mercier are just behind Honner, also averaging in the 72 range on the year. Mercier won the Jackrabbit Invitational in early March while Kretz was ninth at the same event.
