BROOKINGS, S.D. – South Dakota State returns to action after a week off as they travel to the Under Armour Pre-National Invitational in Terre Haute, Indiana, while some will compete in the Platte River Rumble in Ashland, Nebraska.

HEAD COACH ROD DEHAVEN
"We've had a nice window of time to get better. I think we've gotten stronger and more confident. It's been a great training block and hopefully it results in something significant this Friday."

UNDER ARMOUR PRE-NATIONAL INVITATIONAL
The 2026 Under Armour Pre-National Invitational is an excellent opportunity for the Jackrabbits to become accustomed with the NCAA Championship course while having the opportunity to measure their progress against some of the best runners in the country, with the Summit League Conference Championships happening in two weeks.

The women's race begins at 10 a.m., with the men's race following at 10:40 a.m.

PLATTE RIVER RUMBLE
SDSU will also send runners to the Platte River Rumble for the second straight season, with the men placing second, while the women finished in third last year. The Jacks will be competing against programs like Nebraska, Creighton, and Omaha.

ATHLETES TO WATCH
Faith Wiese will look to continue her tremendous freshman season. Wiese was the second Jackrabbit to cross the finish line in Columbia, placing inside of the top 50.

Cashton Johnson and Jackson Dutcher have been SDSU's top two runners on the men's side. Dutcher led the Jackrabbits in Augustana Twilight to open the season, placing second overall, while Johnson paced SDSU at the Gans Creek Classic with a 30^th place finish, crossing the line five spots ahead of Dutcher.

LAST TIME OUT
SDSU competed in the Briar Cliff Invitational on October 3 in South Sioux City, Nebraska. Each team took second place in the meet, finishing behind Creighton.

Tate Grabow paced the men, finishing in 4^th individually, while Ellie Robinson led the way for the women, timing inside the top five of the field.

REGIONAL RANKINGS
Each squad is inside of the top fifteen of the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association NCAA D1 Midwest region rankings. The men sit in 11^th, which is where they were to begin the season, while the women are in 15^th.
