PALM DESERT, Calif. - The South Dakota State men's golf team finished in 12th place at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate, which wrapped Wednesday at the Classic Club.
The Jackrabbits posted a +14 team tally with steady 292 (+4), 293 (+5) and 293 (+5) scores over the event's three rounds.
Ty Kretz finished in 22nd place to lead the Jacks. He posted four birdies on Wednesday and finished 2-over for the round. Over three days, Kretz was 3-under par.
Bryson Mercier tallied a 1-under-par 71 Wednesday, the best round of the day for SDSU, and finished in a tie for 43rd place (+2).
Blake Schaper was even par on the final lap. He finished in 70th place overall with a +10 tally.
Tyler Seeling rolled in an eagle on the 18th hole Wednesday and finished in a tie for 73rd place (+12).
Jake Olson rounded out the lineup in a tie for 77th place (+14).
Charlotte won the team title with a -31 tally, followed by Colorado Christian in second place (-27).
Xavier Bighaus went 12-under for the three rounds, earning medalist honors.
